Nick Corbin appointed to head up new private client and high-net-worth insurance division.
Acres Insurance Brokers has announced the appointment of Nick Corbin as it launches a new dedicated division, focused on ‘concierge-level’ private client services for high-net-worth and private clients across the UK.
The move heralds the next stage of Acres’ ambitious development plans to double in size within the next five years, and will see the new personalised private client division build on its established and evolving agricultural and rural services, alongside an expanding commercial insurance provision.
Highly regarded within the private client sector, bringing a wealth of experience garnered over twelve years in the industry, Mr Corbin has built a niche in delivering personalised services, operating nationally from his base in Worthing, West Sussex.
Having naturally fell into the industry, following in his father’s footsteps to take up a trainee broker role, he took his own path to work within the claims side of insurance and get a wider understanding of the industry, before moving back into a broker role, where his true passion lies.
In the last decade, he has really found his forte in private client work, enjoying working with high-net-worth individuals, many of whom he now classes as friends.
“I really enjoy getting out in front of the client. The beauty of the job is building that personal relationship with individuals. It is not what I would called transactional business, but it is all based on strong relationships and delivering bespoke solutions, tailored to those individual requirements,” says Mr Corbin.
This sits in well with Acres’ philosophy of a personal, client-focused approach, while bringing a new dynamic beyond the established agricultural and commercial services the business has built its reputation on.
“We are now expanding that clientele and building a private client network, without losing focus on our core competencies and deep roots in the agricultural and rural sectors,” he adds.
This is all in parallel with Acres’ development plans, as it further enhances its established agricultural and rural business, while growing the related commercial offering from a dedicated team. This is all backed by the in-house claims teams and account handlers, maintaining a highly valued direct point of contact.

“His experience, allied with a philosophy that tallies with our independent approach and growth ambitions, will be a great asset both for us and our growing client base.”
Mr Corbin continues, “I feel that my experience neatly blends a thorough understanding of the rural, countryside life enjoyed by many of my clients, and the propositions and products relating to that, knitted with a core background within a more corporate environment.

Home-based and as client facing as possible, when Nick does have some downtime, he enjoys travelling, but will more likely be found on the fairways, where in his own words, he says he will continue ‘trying’ to play golf.
