New head of operations to drive efficiencies and customer journey
In a fresh new approach based around improving efficiencies while enhancing customer experiences, Acres Insurance Brokers has appointed a new head of operations, to help drive the next stage of its ambitious growth plans.
In a new, and in many respects groundbreaking move for a business of this size and stage of development, Acres has appointed Corin Flett to this newly created role, in which she has been tasked with helping the business to deliver an even more consistent, efficient and client-focused service.
In early 2025, Acres Insurance Brokers revealed exciting plans to double in size within five years, building on its recognised agricultural, rural and on-farm services, while growing and extending its service delivery and products to commercial clients, non-farm businesses and private client insurance.
Coming from a background predominantly in commercial roles, within a regulated environment, including within the financial, legal, IT, telecoms and publishing sectors, Ms Flett is excited by the challenge of helping to drive developments to reach those growth targets.
“Acres has built its reputation on the delivery of a bespoke service, and an in-depth knowledge of our clients’ business has, and remains, crucial to our success. I see my role as enhancing that, by bringing in a new perspective, built across a breadth of industries, but where fundamentally the core principles of compliance considerations, due diligence, and treating customers fairly, apply,” she says.
“It is not about homogenising or watering down the personal service our clients value and indeed expect, but streamlining and providing a consistent service across the board, so, whoever you speak to within Acres, you know you will receive that same level of service.
“We have a unique offering, from our brokers, to account executives, claim handlers and in-house claims teams, and at this exciting time of development, it is crucial to maintain the personalised delivery to the customer, while improving on processes to ultimately improve the customer journey,” adds Ms Flett.
Mark Cooper, Acres Insurance Brokers’ managing director, is delighted to welcome Ms Flett into the new role.
“We have exciting and ambitious growth plans, and few companies of our size would have invested in this role at this stage of development, but we don’t want to grow without having operationally sound, solid foundations in place,” he says.
“It is a disruptive time for the industry, and Acres plans to be a market disruptor. With this appointment, and a new, strategically important, focus on customer journey mapping, Corin will help us focus on continuous improvement to make that customer experience even better, without changing the fundamentals of our successful, and trusted, client relationship.”
Ms Flett adds, “Ultimately, everything we are looking to develop and improve, will be to improve efficiencies and to free up more time to be closer to our clients.”
Born and bred in Northamptonshire and having always lived in rural counties, including Shropshire, Corin has two teenage daughters, both currently at university.
In her free-time she enjoys a little travel, cooking and fine dining, with her perfect day involving heading to a good restaurant, ideally in the country. Corin will be predominantly based at Acres Insurance Brokers’ head office in Northamptonshire.
